A Month Already?!

Today is September 22- one month since I arrived in Germany.

I honestly cannot believe how fast this experience is already going by. I feel like I'm not going to get everything I want to do accomplished before I leave. AHH! But, since it has been a month, I thought it would be kind of fun to recap everywhere that I have traveled so far, and write about some of the highlights of the trip itself. So, with saying that...

First weekend: Nuremberg and Volksfest. Nuremberg was the first place we traveled, and walking out of the train station was unforgettable. It was the first time we really felt like we were in Europe. Volksfest was ridiculous. The live band was a lot of fun, and all the Germans stood on their tables to dance which I LOVED.

Second weekend: Paris. Where do I even begin when I start talking about Paris?! I think turning the corner and seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time was the most amazing and surreal moment I've had on this trip as of now. Also, seeing the Mona Lisa in real life was pretty awesome too.

Third weekend: Dachau and Munich. Dachau is something that I could never be able to justify with words alone. It was the most eye opening and unreal experience I think I will ever undergo in my life. I loved every moment I spent there. Getting into Munich, we spent over an hour searching for the Hofbrauhaus. Eventually finding it, we had a great time hanging out, eating good food, and of course, we had to have a beer.

Fourth weekend: Oktoberfest and Salzburg, Austria. Oktoberfest was INSANE! The random storm that rolled in that completely soaked us made the night SO much fun. We were dancing in the rain, riding the carnival rides, and just laughing uncontrollably. Salzburg was... different. I had to yell at an Austrian woman at the train station and I got stuck on a mountain for two hours.

Looking back over the past month, I cannot decide which trip has been my favorite. All have been unforgettable in different ways, and always brought about an unexpected adventure. This weekend we're heading to Prague, Czech Republic, and I can only imagine what this trip will be like.

All I can say is that I'll try and be ready for anything!
