The past two days have been spent doing observations. The two of us were required to sign a ton of paperwork, read through SOP's, and watch several videos on different aspects of child care. Once we completed that, they had us go into one of four classrooms: infant, toddlers, preschools, and pre-k. Spending four hours in each room, we helped out with the kids- feeding, changing, playing with, etc.
Tomorrow we'll actually get to give our preference into which room we'd like to be placed in. After spending time in each of them, I think I'm leaning more toward infants or toddlers. The care is very similar to the residents I have at my job back home- change, feed, lay down to sleep, and so on.
I guess we'll see what they say about it all tomorrow!
I think tonight we might head over to the PX to get the shuttle schedule for the bus from Graf to Vilseck. We might also go eat at the dining hall- which supposedly is where all the soldiers eat at... in which case I'm not complaining at all.
:)
Guten Morgen to everyone back at home!
